The studio

How it works

Five steps, and the first three need no account. You pick a design, make it yours, see the finished card, get it approved, and only then pay and send.

1. Pick a design and make it yours

Start from any design on this site or in the studio's catalog. Press Customize and the editor opens on that design. There is nothing to sign up for.

Give it your brand in seconds: type your company's website address and the card takes your brand colors and finds your logo, or drop a logo file and the colors are read out of it. The logo is fitted automatically into the design's own logo footprint. Change every line of text, choose from around sixty fonts or upload your own, or have a set of greetings written for you to your audience, length and tone. The card can be written in any of 22 languages.

On a Photo & Text design, drop your photographs onto the slots: they are framed for you, and you can combine several into a collage or search free stock photos. Keep the design's music and fit it to the card's length, upload your own track, or have one made. Then set up the card's own page: the poster people see before pressing play, the background, how it plays on a phone, and the links that appear when the card ends.

The card saves as you go, 200 steps of undo are a click away, and a reset puts everything back to the design's defaults.

2. See the finished card

The preview is not a mock-up. It is the same composition that renders your final video, shown with a watermark until the card is bought. Watch it with its music, step through its keyframes, or ask for a fast low-resolution render of the saved card when you want to see exactly what the pipeline produces.

3. Get it approved

Most corporate cards need a yes from somebody who will never log in. Press Send for approval and you get a link to pass on. It works for about three days, shows the watermarked card, and has nothing to download. The approver needs no account.

4. Answer one question and pay

Press Buy & Send and create your account, which is the first time you are asked to. Checkout asks one question: how many people will this card reach? Pick the size that covers your list and pay once. If the list turns out bigger later, you move up a size in one click and pay only the difference. See pricing.

After payment the card renders clean, usually in one to two minutes. Its page goes live by itself and the email graphics are made for you. There is nothing to publish.

5. We send it, or you send it

Who sends it is a free choice made at delivery time, and the size you bought covers both. We send it: import your list, every address is checked first, we send from our servers, handle bounces and unsubscribes, and you get a report. You send it: we design the email and you send it from Mailchimp, Constant Contact, HubSpot, Campaign Monitor, Klaviyo, Outlook or one of fifteen more, with your provider's own personalization tags in place. How each way works.

Your card's own page

Every card gets its own web page at an unguessable address. That is where the video plays when a recipient clicks through from the email. It stays live for 60 days from the later of your purchase and your last send, and sending again extends it. You can switch the link off and back on, and the same address keeps working for anything already sent.

You can also put the card on your own website with an embed snippet.

Fix a typo afterwards

Editing a paid card is allowed, and re-rendering it costs you nothing. The change reaches recipients when you press Re-render on the card's page. If you want the version already sent left alone, edit a copy instead.

How long it takes

Building the card takes as long as you spend on it; an Illustrated design with your website's colors and a changed greeting is a few minutes. The full render after payment takes about one to two minutes. A customer's first campaign is looked at by a person before it goes out, usually within a few minutes.
